I took this today while feeling too lazy to do my work.  Taken with my new MiniBorg45EDII setup, with SM40/BF10 at <0.5A (doublestack).  Captured with Skynyx2-1M using Lucam Recorder v2.0. Seeing was quite good, 7/10, with occasional clouds passing by.

To make this image, two images had to be superimposed on each other - one showing the prominences, the second showing the surface of the Sun.  I had stacked about 140 frames for both the prominence and surface image using registax4 and post processed the final image using Photoshop CS3.

I had used a video camera (Skynyx 2-1M from Lumenera - http://www.lumenera.com).  The good thing is that all the frames can be stacked and noise can be removed away.  天文望远镜器材评测和交流论坛6 T* N$ T4 [, g( ?$ @

This image is taken using a single SM40 etalon(front filter).  Shows less details of the surface of the Sun.  The prominence image was also taken using one SM40 etalon (front filter). Note that the previous images are taken using TWO SM40 etalons (two filters placed together).
